The ecoedge pro is great except I have to connect my phone every time I turn on the speaker. In the older model, this was not necessary.
When the power goes out during a winter storm, most gadgets panic. The Ecoxgear Defender, however, rolls up like, “Relax, human. I’ve trained for this.”
First, the light. This thing doesn’t just illuminate — it interrogates the darkness. Flip it on and suddenly you’re no longer wandering around your house like a confused penguin. You can actually see your snacks, your blankets, and the cat plotting something in the corner.
Then there’s the phone‑charging magic. When your battery hits 2% and you start bargaining with the universe, the Defender calmly plugs in and says, “Let’s not be dramatic.” It keeps your phone alive long enough for you to check weather updates, text your group chat, or doomscroll in comfort.
But the real plot twist? It plays music. Yes — while the world outside is turning into a frozen wasteland, the Defender lets you blast your favorite songs like you’re hosting a snow‑day rave. Suddenly the storm feels less like a crisis and more like an unplanned dance party with questionable lighting.
It’s rugged, it’s reliable, and it handles cold weather better than most people you know. Honestly, if winter storms were a video game, the Eco‑X Defender would be the overpowered sidekick that makes you look way more prepared than you actually are.
If you want a compact hero that lights your path, charges your phone, and drops beats while the grid collapses, this little tank is your new best friend.
From the start this product has been nothing but a disappointment. The **** holes were not lined up correctly out the box so I had to use a hammer to knock it into place. Then once the difficult installation process was done, it sounds scratchy. Almost like a speaker blew from less than an hour of music play. Hopefully this brand will make it right. I’ve owned their speakers for years and never had issues, but this is making me think differently. I would not recommend this product. It’s not worth the money
I play music through a bluetooth speaker while taking a shower so I paired this waterproof remote to my phone and can now adjust the volume and skip to the next track.
Bought it so our toddler could listen to his favorite songs and change tunes without having to grab our phones. It is tough and has loud sound even though it’s small enough that he can easily hold it in his hand. Don’t expect any crazy bass though. But for casual listening with portability - does a great job!
