How to Get Through 6 More Weeks of Winter

groundhog-dayThis past Tuesday was Groundhog Day, and our furry little friend, Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow meaning 6 more weeks of winter. If you’re from San Diego, like us, 6 more weeks of 70 degree weather isn’t anything to dread. imrsBut if you’re from anywhere else in the country another 6 weeks of cold weather conditions probably sounds horrible. While staying inside to keep warm isn’t as exciting as tanning on the beach (that’s what we’re doing), we’ve compiled a list of things to do inside your house until weather starts to warm up and spring is in sight!

  1. Get rich: Okay, well maybe not rich, but you can spend your time inside looking for loose change under the couch cushions and other furniture. Who knows, maybe you’ll even find some dollar bills hidden around your house.enhanced-6846-1420768919-10
  2. Make a cake for one: Microwavable mug snacks are the latest trend in easy cooking, and talking from experience, they are delicious! If you’re craving a cake or brownie, but don’t want to make a whole recipe, try these mug recipes. Whether you’re stuck in a dorm, or curled up by the fire at your house, these snacks are great for cold weather.
  3. Throw a snow day party: If your town is getting dumped on and you can’t or don’t want to leave the house, why not throw a snow day party? Invite all your friends, get together and enjoy some food and drinks. You can blast music from your favorite ECOXGEAR speaker. Whether it’s our ECOTERRA or our ECOSTONE, our speakers love a good snow day party.

Although we might be from San Diego, we understand how harsh winter can be. Until warmer weather is in sight, try out these tips to make the winter weeks a little more bearable. We are only a few months away from warm weather and sunny day activities, all of which are great for some ECOXGEAR fun outside!
